Oasis - Nippon (Land of the Rising Sun) Review 2K12

To start off, I would just say that oasis just stole my heart with their friendly staff, organized team and a band launch wit so much cohesion that stood by its theme.
Would like to thank Trinidad Carnival Diary and Trinidad & Tobago Carnival Costume Photos for the pics.

Beginning with the review we have:

Blossom- Frontline

Don't know how safe the bra is but it is really pretty! I love the attention to detail with the nip covers and the hanging ornament in the middle the theme is evident up close! Love that the transition from bra to backpack also has the japanese feel it shows that this band really stuck to their theme.Love the belt as well and the use of colour is in keeping with its name no problem with this costume except the backpack. Slightly odd looking but beautiful costume.

Again the attention to detail is appreciated! Like how the bra has a chain bead combo to the top really pretty, but the line thingy to the lower area is not working for me. The headpiece is also really beautiful I like that it actually looks like a flower!

Male

Sigh, poor male costume. Which male wants a pink sunflower hanging on their chest come carnival time and why no headband?

Cosmic Garden- Frontline

Nice mix of colours. Love the shredded hanging look and the use of beads in the mix as well as the completely blinged bra; the backpack is gorgeous! I see no faults here.

Backline

Bra is awesome! Beading looks slightly like lace and its blinged up! Bling and shreds make the belt look lovely, however I don't see the theme. The foot piece is a bit strange but cute.

Geisha- Frontline
Pretty costume but I don't see anything special about it. It's more gypsy than geisha with the use of colours and the style and the tied belly hangs too low, distracts from the belt. Like the idea of it though. The backpack is okay I like that it highlights the headpiece which is a cute little crown but all this makes me think gypsy not geisha.

Really like this belt! Better than the frontlines' in my opinion. The combo of red and purple cloth is really pretty and the beading is amazing. The bra is nice but I don't really like the look of one side beading one side cloth. Nice idea but the look is awkward yet pretty. Not sure how to feel about it.

Male
Costume is generic and missing something.

Kiyohime- Frontline
Gorgeous! Only problem is the backpack from the front view. Looks a little weird but other than that lovely! Keeping it simple on the monokini and highlighting its beauty with green feathers was a great idea that absolutely worked! Don't really like that the headpiece is so mediocre though.

Backline
Ordinary costume. I do like the belt it some how has a japanese feel without screaming it and its super cute but other than that there isn't much to talk about. Like the thing they used for the neck that is also seen at the top of the bra..but I also don't like it. Mixed feelings.

Male
The replacement of the headband for this "chinee hat" saves this male costume but besides that just another scrappy costume.

Koi- Frontline

Flawlessness! Loveeeee dis costume! LOVE! Reminds me of koi and its so pretty. The sprinkle of coloured feathers; the fine colourful beading brings out the essence of what I think a Koi wuould look like in a costume. Like the hanging things and absolutely adore

Backline

Perfection yet again! Love the bra! Love the belt! Headpiece kinda bleh but doesn't take away from the costume to me.

Male

So no chest piece? Oasis come on please. Besides that love the colour of the board shorts lol.

Samurai- Frontline

Like, like, love that belt! Gold part is hawtt!! Beading is not a show stopper on neither belt nor bra but I do like the bra. I like the way it ties at the back and the arm and foot gear...inna gear! Headpice=Bess!

Backline

Another favourite! Don't see the samurai but I see the japanese features like the neck style and arm gear. Colour is beautiful screams japanese as well. I just really dig this this costume it is utterly sexy without saying it out loud.

Male
Basically another generic male costume. NEXT!!!!

Phoenix- Frontline
Reminds me of a parrot not a phoenix. Tall blue feathers on the headpiece doesn't help and its too tall looks queer. Bra is ordinary like the hanging feathers colours are awesome! Love the belt!!! One side chains one side feathers is fierce! However..will the chains stay in place or would they drop all over while people palancing?

Backline
Nice belt which needs something more to hide the crotch, well decorated bra and regular headpiece instead of the latest trend of headbands.

Male

NEXT!!!!!

Yen- Frontline
Fierce!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love the shape made by the beads running from neck to stomach it brings out the wired bra and appears majestic. Belt is a stunner as well as the headpiece and foot gear. The cape, though it doesn't seem practical, adds to the awe of the costume and makes it perfect.

Backline
Though it looks like a beaded something was thrown over a very pretty blue bikini....its awesome! Really like this look and the headpiece is so cute!

Male
OK costume.

Just to rap it up i would once again say Oasis blew me away. My top 3 female costume are Yen, Koi and Samarai. As for the males, wish they really put some effort into it.
